Here I am..again. Giving another bump update. I definitely was thinking this baby would have made his way here by now but he’s still settled in. I’ve been having contractions but still nothing consistent.
August 2017
I see all of these kids starting school and it’s super exciting! Experiencing firsts days and packing fun little lunches with cute little notes is getting me so excited for when my kids will be starting school. I’m envisioning myself pulling up in my mini van (which I don’t have..but still), dropping my baby off for his first day of school, taking tons of pictures to commemorate this next milestone, stopping at the nearest coffee shop with my other mom friends that have kids in school, thinking how much free time I will have now. But for now that dream of mine is going to wait…
I’m finally 37 weeks and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The pregnancy finish line is creeping up on me. I feel like this was the fastest pregnancy I’ve ever had and I’m not sure I’m 100% ready for it to end. I say this every time I’m about to have a baby but the miracle of pregnancy and knowing that you are growing an actual human being that could potentially change the world one day just blows my mind. It’s so something I’m so proud and scared of at the same time.
I will state this now, I am not a breastfeeding expert by any means. I really struggled the first month with breastfeeding Kellan but it was something I was determined to do and we went six months before he self weened. We learned that he was cutting a tooth them and was not showing interest in nursing because of that. Knox, I nursed for 8 months and boy was I glad when it was over. He cut his teeth and became a biter, which I was not happy about! In my combined 14 months of nursing here are a few things that I learned and items I already have ready to go for our newest baby boy. I have no goal set in mind. We will just be taking it a day at a time in hopes that everything works out for us.
I can’t believe we are nearing the end!!!! I’m going to be a mom of THREE!!!! Holy crap, it’s making me nervous just thinking about three kids. We finally got two down and now we’re adding a new one to the bunch. #3kids3andunder! What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger, right!? We’ve had an eventful last month together. A California trip (if you didn’t watch our video you can watch it here), a boys camping trip, and getting baby stuff all set and ready for him! Oh, and while the boys were gone I got to rest and hit up the casino! A mothers dream!
We had so much fun on our trip to California two weeks ago. We got to stay in a cabin just outside of Big Bear with some family and the kids had a blast. We took the kids to Lake Arrowhead and to a fun place called SkyPark at Santa’s Village. If you ever get a chance to take the kids they will love it! They have lots of outdoor activities such as, go karts, mountain bike trails, play areas, gold mining, and a whole lot more. As you’ll be able to see in the video it was definitely a hit for the boys AND Ethan!
The last day we were there, we attended my family reunion. I love seeing family that we don’t get to visit with that often and the boys love running around with all of their cousins. It was a long drive home but totally worth it to finally be sleeping in our own bed. Something about being pregnant you don’t want to sleep anywhere but your bed.
Here are some clips from our week. I hope you enjoy!
