Here’s a real mom moment
It’s only Wednesday and I’ve lost my shit every day this week. I know I’m not proud of it but I’m human. Being a parent is hard. Like really hard. Especially when you’re raising little versions of yourself.
This holiday season is going to be a different one for me. I am trying to lose this last little bit of baby weight. If you have any tips send them my way! So in this attempt to be good for the holidays, I am going to be laying off the sweets, well as much as I can!!! I mean common it’s the best time of year with all of the treats! I wanted to come up with a fun cocktail recipe that was still delicious but cut back on the calories. Sparkling Ice is the perfect fizzy water to add to this creation because it has ZERO calories!
I’m so excited to introduce this new series I’ll be starting here on the blog. If you couldn’t tell by the title it’s called Weekend Deals & Steals. I haven’t decided if it’s going to be an every Friday thing or not yet. We’ll see if you guys like it! It’s basically going to be where I post deals from some of my favorite stores and shops that have some type of promotion going on. The best part is, I will have everything that I love dow below and it’s all linked for you to make it even more convenient! Just click on the picture to take you to the website!

I don’t know about you but I hate when the kids get toys! Birthday, Christmas, just because grandma and grandpa felt like they needed it. They love getting them and after about a month, they’re broken, pieces are missing, and they are not played with again. Then they just sit there…in the toy box…not being played with. Toys end up getting pulled out and left on the floor because nobody wants to play with them and I end up having to clean up this insane mess that wasn’t even used! It’s just a huge cycle that I hate having to go through.
One year in the books. Or I guess on the internet, huh?
And what a year it’s been. I started this blog as a creative outlet for me. I love doing DIY projects and of course talking about my experiences with my kids. I like baking and finding some fancy party drinks. This blog has challenged me in many ways and helped me grow as well. I hit publish on my very first post November 1, 2016 and that’s when my journey began. I found out two months later I was pregnant and boy did that take a toll on me. I actually took about 3 months off from blogging but it was much needed! It was hard taking care of a 2 year old and a 10 month old while you’re pregnant!
I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! I know we did! This was Kellans first year really understanding what trick or treating was and he loved running with the older boys to every house he could. Knox just liked walking up to the doors and saying twick o tweat. haha Now we have a ton of candy that I have to eat, dang it. Our little Kai turned 2 months old yesterday and needless to say everyone is still so in love with him. He’s been a great baby for the most part and just loves to snuggle.
