Now that the weather is getting warmer I always break out my summer foundations. The hot weather here is Arizona really dries out your skin so I love using illuminating and hydrating foundation just to brighten it up. My favorites I usually like to use are BB creams and tinted moisturizer because I hate having on heavy makeup when you’re hanging around outside in 115 degree weather. Who’s with me!?! So here are my 5 favorite must have summer foundations

The L’Oreal BB Cream is one I’ve used for a couple of years and I love it! It has a nice bit of coverage to even out your skin tone but is so light! This is supposed to prime, hydrate, correct,  and perfect your skin. It’s ultra lightweight and blends in seamlessly. The only downside is you have 4 shades to choose from. I bought the light shade, which is a little to light for me but I just use some bronzer to darken it up! If you haven’t read, this is my favorite bronzer that I’ve been obsessed with this summer!

This summer this Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer has been a go to for me! It’s super light weight  and has a sheer coverage with SPF that I love. Some days you just want to add a little coverage and a moisturizer and this is perfect! I’ve been wearing it a lot to the boys swim lessons because when we run errands or go to lunch after I like to have a little bit of something so I’m not so red from being out in the sun.

So I’ve totally been obsessed with the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation. If I’m looking for something with more coverage for like a night out when it’s still hot, this is my main B. It has 12 range of colors to choose from, which I think is pretty good for a drugstore foundation. It claims to have a glow to last up to 24 hours. I’ve never tested that, it seems like a long time to have makeup on, but if you have let me know if it really does last!

Tarte Rainforest of The Sea is a lightweight full coverage hydrating foundation. It’s water based so it leaves your skin looking very glowy. I love wearing this one on especially hot days because it adds a good amount of coverage but I don’t have to worry about sweating it all away. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated!

This Clinique Even Better Broad Spectrum is one of my favs that I recently ran out of and need to repurchase. This one comes in 30 different shades which is awesome! This foundation is to help protect against future darkening, adds an even skin tone, and improves clarity. I don’t use this every day but I can definitely agree that it evens my skin tone without looking too heavy on the skin.  Clinique also had a Moisture Surge BB Cream that they discontinued that I was OBSESSED with but they did come out with a CC cream that I need to get my hands on.

I’ve wanted to try the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea for awhile but I was concerned about it being water-based – sounds like it stays on well regardless though!

I love using it. I do find with some primers I use though that because it is water based that it starts to separate.

I’m a big fan of the pro glow and the bb cream! I’ve really been wanting to try the others though. If you had to pick between the clinique and tarte which one would you suggest. I like medium coverage with the ability to build up, if desired.

I would say the Clinique one would be better for building up. The Tarte one you totally can but because it’s so wet that I wouldn’t want to build too much of that. It might make you look really oily.
