Dry anything is horrible to have. But sometimes it feels like you can’t ever get rid of it. Winter is the worst time for me because my skin gets dry, when I wash my face it feels tight, and my scalp is dry and flakey. I’ve been testing some of these products for years and some for a few weeks. So I wanted to share some of the best products I’ve used to help with all of the dry.
Having a dry flakey scalp is so awkward to talk about. It’s especially so when you feel like you’re the only one and don’t know who to ask. I’ve always suffered from a dry scalp. This is so embarrassing to talk about but I want to share so if I can help just one other person it will be worth it.
Look no further!!
I’ve been testing out an Instant Exfoliating Scalp Scrub and it is ahhhmazing!
I bought this on a whim while I was at Target and thought why the heck not. It’s a non-drying scrub removes flakes, product build-up, excess sebum, and hard water deposits from the scalp.
You’ll use it first in the shower before shampoo and conditioner.
Wet your hair and separate with the tip of the bottle.
Squeeze the tube directly on the scalp.
Do this all around your head
Massage gently in small circles around the scalp. ( I massaged for about 3 minutes)
I’ve been using it for a few weeks and can genuinely say that it has completely cleared up and I feel so much more confident!
Kristen Ess also has another product that is supposed to help with flakey scalp. I’ve only used it once and it was WILD! It’s a bubble foam. It’s cold in your hands and you have to act fast when applying it to your roots. I will get back to you after I’ve used for a few weeks and let you know how it works but if you want to check it out you can find it here.
Back in the day when I would wash my face it would feel so dry and tight after I was done.
I hate that feeling.
I started using this one from Philosophy and I absolutely LOOOOOVE it. It’s been my fav for like 4 years now. I have one in my shower one to travel and one at my sink. It’s just my go to face wash.
I found this Dove Dry Skin Relief like 2 years ago. It’s super affordable and you can pick it up anywhere. Walgreens, Target, CVS, Walmart and Amazon. Target and Walmart are the cheapest right now for $6.99.
I’ve also talked about this moisturizing face lotion forever! First Aid Beauty is awesome! I only use this at night so my face can get as much moisture as it can. I’ve used this one can for probably 3 going on 4 years now so it will last you for quite some time.
My dad gave me a bottle of this lotion and it works great. I actually use it for my youngest Kaizer because he has insanely dry skin and this helps with his bumpy dry skin. It’s a silicone cream with no paragons and is hypoallergenic.
For dry cracked feet these ones worked the best for me. Profoot Heel Rescue and Healthy Feet Foot Cream. Lather your feet before bed and I mean lather and put socks on. Do this for a week and your feel will be feeling like new!
Let me know if you tried any of these and how they worked for you!
