It’s finally FRI-YAY!!
I’m so excited that I am getting little girls trip with my mom this weekend! Hopefully I can sleep in, win at bingo, and get a pedicure. haha a mothers dream, right!? So I thought it would be fun to make some slime to keep the boys busy this weekend while Ethan watches them. It was super easy to make and the kids LOVE it! I’m sure you probably have most of this stuff at home already too.
What You’ll Need:
Elmers Glue
Contact Solution
Baking Soda
Baby Oil
*Optional Items
*Food Coloring
*Essestial Oils
To Get Started:
- In a small bowl combine 3/4 of the bottle of Elmers Glue, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and start with 2 drops of food coloring. (I used about 4 for each color but start with 2 until you reach desired color.) If you’d like to add essential oils to yours, you will do so now. We use Doterra Essential Oils. I started with 5 drops. Orange slime I did Wild Orange Oil, purple slime=lavender oil, and pink slime=grapefruit oil.
- After mixing everything together you’ll add about 1 tablespoon of contact solution. After this is mixed together you’ll want to add about 1 teaspoon of baby oil. After that is all mixed together see if your slime is still sticking to the bowl. If it is, you’ll want to add more contact solution. I added a little at a time because if you add too much your slime will become stiff and not so slimy. Once the slime isn’t sticking to the bowl or your spatula it should be ready to play with. If you find that it’s sticking your hand add a little more contact solution and mix by hand. We added a few extra drops of essential oils at the end to really give it a scent. And it should be ready to play with!
I hope you guys enjoyed and let me know how it worked out for you!
