Ethan and I are coffee lovers. We love going out to get a latte, drinking coffee at home, and even going on morning coffee dates when the kids stay the night at the grandparents house. One of the best purchases we have ever made was our Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine. I’ve talked about this glorious machine before and totally recommend it to EVERYONE! It’s saved us so much money and all of our family and friends love it when they come over.
I thought what better way then to show you the easiest way to make a homemade latte and kick that Starbucks habit! (I know…easier said then done because I still DO go to Starbucks like 1-2 a week!!) But making it from home and saving that extra cash is one of the best perks! Stay in your PJs and make one in less than 5 minutes is just the icing on the cake!
There are TONS of latte recipes on Pinterest and I mean tons but this has proven to me, to be the easiest way to create the perfect latte. Its’s only 3 ingredients unless you choose to add some sort of topping and will take you less than 5 minutes.

First you start by turning the machine on and letting it warm up.
Ground your coffee beans and pack them down. You want to use a firm and straight hand when packing it down so the grounds are even. Shake and dust off any excess.
Now here is the secret, I like a sweeter latte. I can not drink it black! So instead of having to add of these flavors, sugars, and everything else I buy the Coffee Mate Sweet Cream Creamer. I add a small layer at the bottom of the frother. Probably equivalent to 3 tbs of cream. You can add as much or as little as you’d like. I don’t want it to be overly sweet but just enough to add some flavor and sweetness to my latte.
So once you’ve added the creamer to your desired amount, pour some milk in until it’s fills up about half way. Turn the steamer on and and steam your milk.
I like to make mine frothy so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on the whipped cream and don’t have those extra calories!
Click the button to start your shot and once it’s done, at an angle pour your milk in. I like to add a little carmel to the top for a little topping but that it totally optional. And you’re done! Time to enjoy your delicious and easy homemade latte!
If you try this let me know how it came out for you!
