The answer is a big fat YES! Holy cow, have I noticed a huge difference. Now I have to say this time around because of my C-Section the circumstances were a little different but I can tell a huge difference in my body going back down to size (or well my new size for now).

How they Work:
Bellefit compression girdles and corsets work by drawing in stretched abdominal muscles providing a 360° support structure around the torso, thus, reducing strain on ligaments and joints in the lower back, pelvis, and buttocks. Reducing stress in these areas enhances your body’s ability to return to its pre-pregnancy alignment, shape and lose the post baby tummy. As shifted and constrained organs return to their pre-pregnancy locations during the first few weeks after c-section or natural birth, Bellefit® girdles hold you in place allowing movement with complete confidence.
I started wearing my Bellefit postpartum girdle on day 3. It made my incision feel so much better because it held everything so tight. Since a C-Section is a major surgery I was very nervous about being at home on light pain medications and wearing this. Getting the girdle on the first 3 days was a little tough, only because the wound was still so fresh that at first it felt tender. After wearing it for a few hours I got use to the compression and it made me feel better about myself wearing it. I was a lot more confident holding my baby and letting him lightly rest on my stomach.
On day 14 I have to say that I have noticed that on the loosest setting it was starting to feel too big and I’m going to have to start going to the tighter setting. When your uterus starts to shirk back down to size you will have what feels like contractions, wearing this girdle I have not felt any contractions at all. That is a huge plus because it can be very painful when you’re uterus is shrinking back down. With Kellan I never experienced this but when I had Knox it was bad. They told me the more kids you have the worse it feels. So having Kaizer I was dreading to experience this again and thankfully the girdle kept everything so compressed that I had zero pain.
Day 29 postpartum. I haven’t worn the girdle for the past week because it’s now too big for me. I am looking at ordering another one in a size smaller. It’s been so great wearing it. The Bellefit Girdle has made getting in and out of bed a lot easier. I know that may sound silly but having a c-section has really taken it’s toll. I mentally feel like I’m back to my normal self but my body is still in the recovery process. Because of where my incision is located it hasn’t been comfortable wearing underwear let alone pants. I put my girdle on before getting dressed and it’s been a life saver. I don’t have to completely live in dresses and leggings.
My Final Thoughts:
I 100% regret not getting one with my other kids. Granted I feel having one this time around has been a necessity considering the circumstances but I feel that if I had gotten one with the other boys that I would have felt way more confident with my post baby body then I did. Especially since I had both of them right before summer. I would definitely consider this a must have in your delivery bag for after baby is born.
