We went on our first ever family vacation with just the five of us! It’s always a little stressful planning a vacation with little ones and deciding what we want to do and what fits with the kids schedules but let me tell you, we had a blast! Yes we had a few meltdowns along the way (mostly from me!) and our vacation wasn’t perfect to a T but was something I know I won’t forget and hopefully the kids can look back on this and know that we had a good time with them.
So I posted the other day on my Instagram Stories about what I like to use all of my beauty samples for. In case you missed it, I save ALLLLLL of my beauty and makeup samples I get in a ziplock bag and when I travel somewhere, I like to pack those with me! It saves space in my bag and a lot of it is high end face
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with their families. I know I did! We have family that comes to visit from California almost every year and we have so much fun together. We had so much turkey on Thursday and planned to go to the Grand Canyon on Friday. We only live about 2 1/2 hours away but it was so windy and cold that we decided it would be better if we went when the weather was nicer. So instead, Ethan rode his bike down and we went to Donkey World aka Oatman, AZ. One of my friends told me that her daughters call it donkey world and the whole time I was there I kept thinking how true it was. The burros are a big attraction for Oatman and the gunfight. Yes you read that right, a gunfight. I don’t want to give too much away but they block the road off because someone robbed the bank!! They also have the mining museum, old western photos, and fun events that go on throughout the year! If you’re ever driving old Route 66 make sure you drive through this little town! The kids will get a kick out of it.
Whats your favorite Route 66 stop?
This was our first time at a pumpkin patch and I was not disappointed! If you live near the Prescott area Mortimer Farms is a must see for next year. I will not wait until the last day to visit this place! They had so much going on I wish we would have had more time to spend there. They had all kinds of stuff like corn mazes, tractor rides, jump houses, train rides, of course pumpkin picking and so much more. Kellan was having so much fun that he was actually sad when we left. Poor guy!
Thanks for reading. Did you make it to a pumpkin patch this year?
